Nine months ago, my partner and I made one of the hardest decisions of our lives. At the time, it felt like the easy way out. We were told it was simple. We were told we’d move on. But we couldn’t.
Why we took the decision doesn’t matter now. Everyone who has been through this has their own reasons, reasons that feel enormous in that moment. But once you go through the process… once the life is gone… those reasons suddenly feel so small. Almost irrelevant.
That is exactly what happened to us.
